Za’atar is a flavourful and versatile Middle Eastern Spice blend traditionally made with a mix of oregano, thyme, sesame seeds and sumac. We gave it a modern Australian twist by adding some native ingredients like wattle seeds and Davidson's plum, which accentuate its characteristic nutty, citrus flavour and aroma, with some earthy notes and unexpected tanginess. Our Za’atar is perfect to use as a spice rub for meats, season vegetables, dressings and marinades, or as a dip with fresh bread and plenty of Mount Zero Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
