"Literally meaning Spiced Tea, Masala Chai has a long history immersed in ancient royalty. Originally thought to be developed by Kings, it was the introduction of black tea by the British into India in the 1830s that kicked off the revolution of this humble beverage to shape it into the foodie favourite it is today.
Place 1 teaspoon Masala Chai Blend into a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Bring to the boil, then add 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea. Cover and rest for 5 to 10 minutes (to your preferred strength). Place back on the stove, add 1 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk and bring back to the boil. Sweeten to taste and serve with a sprinkle of Cinnamon.
