Canelé Alain Melbourne is an online bakery specializing in baking premium canelés. Our aim is to sweeten people’s life by spreading our canelé love. It is our mission to provide Australia with the most authentic French canelé experience, as if Australians were eaten canelés in the streets of Bordeaux, France.
Canelés are little scalloped cakes, chewy and custardy on the inside and sealed with a crisp, caramelized shell.
We mostly bake the authentic French canelé flavored with French rum and vanilla. This secret recipe is inherited from the founder’s late uncle Alain who was a renowned pastry chef in Bordeaux. We also offer a few scrumptious variations such as orange and Cointreau, pandan and Malibu, low gluten and vegan canelés.
